I like a lot of Criterion covers but they do tend towards the awful 'Mondo Posters' style lately.

Eraserhead, Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me, Charade, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, Safety Last!, All About Eve... Basically the decent ones use original movie posters from it's cinema release or a nice still from the movie. The rest of the artworks are pretty terrible in my opinion. I currently only own one Criterion blu and that's Easy Rider. Terrible cover. |

I agree, it's the ones that use photography or a film still which are the best ones, the newly commissioned 'artwork' ones are mostly awful. There is the odd exception but it's rare lol.

Really all these company's should just fire the morons that they pay and just stick with the classic artwork, boggles the mind people get paid and they passed exams etc, Christ give a chimp some crayons it will do a far better job.
