Easy - a lot of people don't like watching black and white films

It's the same reason why there are so many American remakes of foreign films - people can't be bothered with reading subtitles

My mother is like that, she refuses to watch any film not in colour or any film that's subtitled.

If she wants to rob herself of films like panuc beats,seconds,repulsion,dead of night and the case is happily resolved..... It's her major loss.

Most recent one was, Romero's original 1968 Night of the living dead I watched about 10 minutes of it. Didn't look right

i actually didn't mind the coloured version of notld, however i watched it on a hardgore disc, so it didn't exactly make too much of a difference

The Ray Harryhausen films that were colourized such as Earth vs the Flying Saucers look great in my opinion.

Each time i watch them i constantly flick between colour and black and white to see how the process has affected certain scenes.
