Dracula: Prince of Darkness

I'm 30 minutes into this. The recap scene at the start is pretty bad. I'm not that well versed in DNS etc so all I can say I found this specific scene to be jarring slightly, and the images not moving smoothly - if that makes any sense. The opening scene then has some obvious synch issues until about 8 minutes in.

Also, this is probably specific to my set-up, but things are far less noticeable when I switched viewing this from my LG blu-ray player to my PS3.

Generally speaking - a bit disappointing. Saw Quatermass last week and that rocked.

Just had an official response on the issue from Studio Canal:

"We recently discovered a small audio synch issue within a couple of scenes of the ‘Dracula Prince of Darkness’ discs that were released on the 5th of March.

This problem occurred at the authoring stage where a fix was not implemented despite being supplied.

With this in mind we will be replacing any discs that have this issue present.

Please send your proof of payment and your address to enquiries@vdcgroup.com and we will endeavour to send a working replacement to you promptly."

I think it's already sweeping the net as it's on Hammer's facebook as well. I've sent my email along with a PDF of my despatch email from sendit.com so I'll keep everyone posted on how I get on.

Really glad they've acknowledged this and done the right thing. Kudos to SC and Hammer.

I watched this on Monday and was a bit disapointed. Although I'm now happy as it's going to be fixed.

My copy arrived today, and it also has the audio sync issue.

I've scanned a copy of my Amazon receipt and sent it off to the e-mail address above (thanks Sam ), so hopefully a replacement disc should be on its way to me soon!
