I like this version a lot, despite the rather weak cast, especially Hutch as Ben Mears. I remember that I went to a tripple feature that ran until the early morning hours, just because that was part of it - if my memories are correct things started with the great Nightshift (with The Fonz in it) then a weak bat film, maybe even called Bats, which drained my battery a lot! and then Salem's Lot - another bad/t film would have sent me to dreamland, but this one had my full attention! And I have rewatched it on DVD a few times too and still like it. I also watched the "remake" 2 part TV thing, which is not bad, but does not have the power of Hooper's take, which loses out on the book though, which is one of King's finest pieces! Do we have a Stephen King thread? If so, let me know, i may put up a matress there

If it was a film from the same era as the other films - then could it possibly have been Nightwing? I seem to recall that being a rather boring film involving bats.

I really have no recollection, but I may still have the ticket as I kept book of my movie visits back then and I recall that there was small booklet handed out with the tripple feature, describing all three films, if I remember, I can check and post the info here... I might also find out that this was not the tripple feature with the bats film, there was at least one more I had to sit through back in the days...

Anyway forget about bloody bats!

The only bats needed on this thread are of the baseball variety to ward off floating vamp kids at your window!
