I'll try and do this, I feel like this will be a harder list to compile. I really hate thinking sometimes.

I'd go a step further, instead of possibly, I'll say definitely. With the book and whatnot. Even though The Evil Dead doesn't hold a candle to Equinox.

Sometimes, 'specially when I'm particularly northern (tired, hungry, emotional or drunk), I hate thinkin' too. Oh well, best get to work

Okay, here's some that didn't make my top 20 but are still great horror flicks:

Mark of the Devil
Buio Omega (aka Beyond the Darkness)
Horror Express
Deranged
The Satanic Rites of Dracula
The Vault of Horror
Asylum
The House that Dripped Blood
Twins of Evil
House of Whipcord
Salem's Lot
Hands of the Ripper
The Vampire Lovers
Tombs of the Blind Dead
Piranha
Count Yorga, Vampire
The Return of Count Yorga
The Car
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Shivers
Rabid
Tourist Trap

I'd say that Christiane F. would certainly be worthy... although it was made in '81

Ha, you may cringe even more when I say it's mall location plays a big part in my love for it, because when I was 11 or so me and my mates use to spend our Saturdays in a indoor shopping centre!

Anyway "Favourite horror movie" and lists like this are pretty redundant outside of the net etc, when it comes to sitting down to watch a movie. Yea we may watch some movies more than others and have firm favourites, but within that, do we really love one movie that much more over another? *Hmmm should I watch Return of the Living Dead or Re-Animator? Oh I'll watch Return, as it's #8 on my all time list..*

You mean that's not how you watch films?

Good points, though. There are many films that I've watched many more times than my favourites, mainly because mood plays a large part (at least for me) in what I watch. Also, I'm always discovering great new films that I prefer over ones I may have discovered decades ago that have many more views to their name. I do indeed love one film over another, though. I do put quite a bit of (probably too much) thought into these ranked lists, and they are indicative of what I 'prefer'.
