I'm now going to watch Martin for the very first time.

See if its up to the hype.

I've had the Arrow dvd knocking around for nigh on two years.

It's weird seeing Tom Savini without a 'tache in it

Made a brew (got no cans in), and watched Wizard of Gore. I really enjoyed it! I bought into the campy fun very early on - laughed out loud when the chainsaw first appeared . Montag reminded me a little of Coffin Joe with his tophat/cape getup, rambling self importance, and obsession with torturing women! Definitely gonna check out more of Lewis' stuff - pisses me of no end those Something Weird Blus are region locked . . .

Ah, a shame you didn't like it. I'm a big HGL fan, but do understand his films are not to everyone's tastes!

I was probably a little harsh on the film. It felt like it was scratching the surface of being an interesting film, but it was missing something. Maybe another viewing down the road will do it favors. I won't give up on Lewis though, I'll certainly see more of his films at some point.

Nope

Well, i finally watched Martin.

It crashes into my top 20 of the seventies. A quite ugly film showing the real unglamorous world of vampirism.

Very seedy stuff. A tie with Day of the Dead as Romero's best work.

I watched Martin last night too. I'd agree with all of this except I'd rank Romero's work:

1. Night
2. Day
3. Dawn
4. Martin

What's so special about Day of the Dead? Dawn of the Dead is a whole lot better in every respect.

Greetings!

The world of Day of the Dead is at an end, total despair, zombies everywhere with no hope of salvation. Pure horror.

Dawn is just a cartoon set in a shopping mall.
