Disagree with the first part, but I take your point. That said, there are loads of films I find 'horrifying', but don't consider 'horror' (Dogtooth, Michael, Antichrist, Clean Shaven, Snowtown, Brimstone & Treacle) . . .

As for Travis Bickle he's a psycho who kills people, as is Norman Bates...Henry...Hannibal Lecktor...Will Lustigs Maniac, etc, etc, what you got against poor Travis??
If we are doing "what is traditionally considered as a Horror film" then we defo have to get rid of Jaws, The Devils, The Wicker Man, Wake in Fright, Long Weekend and Alien, to name a few.

I'm sorry they don't fit in to your definition of horror so feel free to cross out any you believe does not fit into the list.
Check IMDB - they're not classified as Horror films, not even as a subcategory.

I'd say yes. It was made for television, but so was 'Duel'. Both are Horror movies imho.

If you feel strongly for a film, vote for it. Please don't abuse this though. I really don't want to see Cabaret on the list.

I really didn't want Taxi Driver on the list, because I love Taxi Driver. Knowing that some people didn't vote for it because they don't see it as horror would leave it somewhere near the middle or bottom of the pack. It would just look tacky having Taxi Driver wedged between a couple of merely good horror films.

Hey guys, no worries, honestly!
Delete as you see fit, it's your list. There are many films that cross genre's and it all depends on your viewpoint. Out of the three Taxi Driver is the only one worth fighting for but JJ puts in a convincing argument that I have to agree with.
As for Salem's Lot and Duel, DEFO!! (They're also on my list!)

I've just never understood this. Its just a bunch of folk who swear a lot and a bloke who lives in the wardrobe. Its not scary, its not gory, its just nothing. When i watched the dvd a couple of years back i was sooo underwhelmed.

Please someone say why its worth me watching again.
Yep, it's one that you need to see late at night at Christmas, then go for a walk thru the snow at 1 or 2 in the morning as all is silent, as you pass by houses imagine there are eyes watching you from the upstairs windows(my experience) did it for me.

It's not only a Horror film, Dawn is so much more... it's also Action Thriller, Drama, and - most of all - social criticism at its best.
I had to watch it three times to fully understand and appreciate this gem, though.

Greetings!

I'd say it was easily the worst of Romero's Dead trilogy, although it's still a film that I enjoy to some extent. I always cringe when I see it listed as someone's favourite horror film, though.
