Well Go USA acquires remastered cult classic PHANTASM series

So this means that a UK/US release by Arrow is out of the question... do they have it at all?

Don't care who releases it tbh....this is ****ing fantastic news for one of the most original and entertaining series in the annals of horror!

All we need now is the Blind Dead in HD!

This is the new poster for the theatrical run of the 4k restoration. I quite like it.

Thread moved to the original Phantasm's release decade.

Watched the new BD of Phantasm today-it looks and sounds incredible in this 4K restoration!

Any fan of this NEEDS to buy this now.
Unfortunately,it's region A locked.

Actually it isn't locked at all. The US blu-ray release of Phantasm Remastered is region friendly (even though it states 'Region A' on the back of the sleeve). The US blu-ray of the latest film, Phantasm Ravager, is also region friendly so import both without fear!

I really liked Phantasm Ravager but it seems to have gotten quite a negative response from many people. I think the problem is that the trailer made it look like an epic finale to the series whereas it's another low budgeted chapter that left the door open for further sequels.

I've read some strange complaints about Ravager (it looks cheap or the acting was horrible) but most fans should dig it quite a bit. It wasn't my favourite in the franchise but it's certainly not the disaster many are making it out to be. My rankings:

1. Phantasm (1979)
2. Phantasm IV: Oblivion (1998)
3. Phantasm II (1988)
4. Phantasm Ravager (2016)
5. Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994)

For Christmas, I ordered Phantasm Remastered & Phantasm Ravager on blu-ray. Both US releases looked and sounded excellent and will tide me over until Arrow UK (hopefully) release a blu-ray boxset of all five films.

I would love to also own quality releases of II, III and IV in high definition with lossless sound.

Really?

I didn't even think to try it in the B machine,as you said,it states A on the sleeve...

Looks terrific don't it?

Watched PART II today......what we need now is Lord of the Dead and Oblivion!

I thought Ravager sucked balls. Pun intended.

Here's how I rank the series:
