Despite the Green film doing well at the box office and commanding a good profit, sequel The Exorcist: Deceiver has now been removed from the schedules.

I just don't like this man's films at all I like the idea for his Exorcist and it did start well but just descended into chaos just like Halloween.

I did notice Asda have started selling a shiny new paperback of William Peter Blatty's novel with one of those lovely soft touch covers.

I'd have bought it had it not had a tiny crease on the reverse and there was only one. Hoping they'll have restocked this week.

What artwork did it have? I've looked online and can't find a new release.

I know there have been several different cover artworks used over the years, but the one I know most is the Magritte-inspired moment in the film which has become such an iconic image.

1974 - 50 years ago, and the Adelphi Cinema in Dublin has 'The Exorcist' in screens 2 and 3 to meet demand for those who want to see it
