Halloween Films

Well. Here's a thought. Don't watch it. As Halloween is literally hardwired into my psyche, I have never really cared about any 'sequel' ... sure I've watched them, but as mere shadows how effective could they be? That's why I love the 3rd film paradoxically.
Ahem. This all just reminds me of the hooha before H20 btw.

Sam? Resurrection is ... feckin' rubbish. The comm for it is priceless as the director somehow reckons we give a fcuk about his opinions

I like the opening fifteen minutes of Resurrection. In fact i don't hate the rest of the film, it just ain't a Halloween film. It's more Friday the 13th Part 5.

As for the rest of the sequels, well i like them all to be honest and enjoy watching them each and every year.

Oddly never in order though. More often than not i'll watch Resurrection on October 1st, then 4,5 & 6 in order throughout the month, then H20, and Halloween and Halloween II on the night itself. The third film gets watched at some point near to Halloween as well.

And the Zombie film. Sheesh. Imagine someone covering your favourite song. Badly.
Never watched that sequel ... life's too short. Obscure 40s feminist slasher musical from Smolensk? Sold!
Overhyped Murican slurry? Pass.

Whilst i do like the first Rob Zombie attempt, the second one is just awful.

For what it's worth I enjoyed them both, but it has to be said the second is distinctly sloppy compared to the first.

This year I will attempt to watch as many films as I can that I haven't seen this Halloween.
This year I shall mostly be watching better prints of things I have seen to death this Halloween.
This year I wil find a gem in a last minute attempt to avoid watching some slushy murder spree.
I find these truths to be self evident. Everyday is Halloween in this house.

Why would they need to explain it? Unless they're CGI de-aging JLC, it's clearly set today, which means Loomis would be long deceased, much like the actor who played him.

It all sounds a bit on the dumbass side to me. Why they couldn't have just done a standard Myers movie without JLC or the need for silly retcons is beyond me.
