I like all of them except Freddy v Jason. Even freddys dead and it's rubbish 3d efx and I even like the ending of part one. I always find them an enjoyable and entertaining watch. In fact I think soon I'll have to do an Elm st marathon. Not sure about seeing the remake though

Funny how exactly the same thing can create completly opposing opinions. Each to their own The 3D bit is terrible, but I'd be lying if I said I don't look forward to that part. I do luv 3D!

Anyone got any merchandise? I came across this great site full of Freddy merch, check it out - http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/f...ills/merch.php I need to get my hands on some of these!

I not seen Freddy's Dead in 3D or Freddy Vs Jason.

But I agree New Nightmare is awesome.

I've just ordered the German Blu Ray of the original and I'm really looking forward to seeing it in hi-def!

The first was a masterpiece! I must've rented it out countless times when it was first released on video back in the eighties.
I had a crush on Ms Langenkamp!

Freddy's Revenge was unintentionally hilarious, and compared to the first, was such a disappointment, but it was still the talk of the playground.

Dream Warriors was a big improvement with the goings-on taken a tad more serious than part II.

The Dream Master was a washout,as was The Dream Child.

Freddy's Dead,I saw at the cinema in 3D and to be honest was only slightly better than the previous two.

With Freddy now less frightening than Right Said Fred,Craven came along and put some much needed nastiness back into the series.A winner, and once agin the return of Langenkamp!

Freddy Vs Jason...well,what can I say?
It was exciting that two iconic screen slashers were pit against one another, and it was fun to watch, but the characters and 'plot' that surrounded both maniacs was, well let's be honest, abysmal.

Although I'm not a fan of the Hollywood remake machine's output,I have to say,the trailers I've seen so far look promising.
This remake has a lot to live up to.....

I didn't like the comedy either, seems to me that movie makers seem to find that injecting a healthy dose of humour will keep things interesting, and It's not just Freddy,Chucky descended into pure comedy and even the Lethal Weapon films went from thriller to comedy by the fourth one.

I liked the first and even the second Elm Steet films, purely becuase they were (almost) straight horror and I liked Wes craven's New Nightmare for the same reason.

Ok,perhaps it was a little funny.

I'm surprised Warner has only released the 1st movie on blu-ray.I'd bet my life that we'll see a box set of them all when the remake hits dvd/blu-ray.

Yeah, they'd all look good in HD,but is it not New Line that owns them?
