Its a worthy film due to Harmony from the series Angel going topless. |

I don't even know who that is! I never watched Angel. However, one topless scene does not make for a decent horror film! |

I've seen it probably four times now. Its a film i like, but its not the modern classic i hoped for. Adam Green clearly is a genre fan but i felt he could have gone further and made it nastier. Its a bit cliched. I wasn't a big fan of Hatchet II at all, even though its basically the same film. |

I agree. I would sum up Hatchet as a forgettable and unfunny 1980's slasher episode of Scooby Doo. The attempted humour was, I felt, painfully bad and just made the whole thing even more dumb. Midnight Movie (2008) or Leslie Vernon are less flashy but far more successful hark-backs to the 1980's slasher era. |

I thought The Descent was '05 - otherwise a definite contender. It's difficult as I had much love for The Host, The Hills Have Eyes, Behind the Mask, Bug and The Last Winter (a very underrated film IMO). Wasn't so enamoured by Ils and found the ending completely unconvincing and predictable. |

It's got to be Alexandre Aja's remake of The Hills Have Eyes, and the very entertaining, Slither, for me.
