Great movie with a great cast! We need a UK BD release, although it might show up the flaws

You'd think so. There's a US Region A locked edition out there, at least.

Is it a barebones release? I don't know anything about it.

The US blu is not that great, but it is an improvement over the terrible US DVD and a slight improvement in detail over the UK DVD.

A UK blu with all the extras of the old DVD would be much welcome.

I've had the UK DVD release of Dog Soldiers for years and still haven't been able to make it all the way through the film from beginning to end, despite trying twice.I'll really have to make an effort to watch the entire film in the near future. It's not that I find the film bad I just think I was especially tired the two times I tried to watch it.
