In case anyone's interested,just stumbled upon this German blu of Prince of the Sun. It's English friendly (international version in hd with English audio and HK version in sd with Canto audio and English subs as a bonus)

Gotta love those German releases! This has got original audio/English subs + English audio + extras! And a real HD master!  OFDb - Blu-ray Disc: Steamboat Pictures / Daredo (Deutschland), Freigabe: FSK 16 von Mission Force (1982) This movie is crazy! Must buy for me!

The same German company also released this with English subs: Unfortunately it seems the same master as the Japanese bd was used (which was true HD but had some DNR) 2 versions of the film are included (one in sd as an extra). OFDb - Blu-ray Disc: Steamboat Pictures / Daredo (Deutschland), Freigabe: FSK 16 von 'The Master' mit den gebrochenen Händen (1973)
