plus it had a full colour title sequence which was only on Italian disc before.

If it got new features then I MAY buy it but if its just some new interviews then I wont. The transfer cant be that much different even if they use a new master, only a Bluray will show big difference in print. But thats just what I think. Could be wrong

This should be a great release. I've been wanting to buy the film for ages but haven't gotten around to it. I'd get the Grindhouse release but I really dislike the cover. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing what Arrow does with this one.

I already have the Grindhouse DVD of The Beyond but I reckon I'd double dip on an Arrow edition with all new extras.

And I really dont have money to double dip so only time I have done before is my all time fav movie Terminator 2 and I will be double dipping on the upcoming Blurays of Jurassic Park and Aliens. If this was a blu-ray release I would buy it for sure.
If you´r passing from DVD to Blu-Ray it´s called Upgrading and not Double-Dipping...

The Grindhouse edition has worst picture than the Anchor Bay Edition because of the filters/compression they used...

If the Beyond get the same or better treatment as the City Of The Living Dead it´s a shame House By The Cemetery didn´t because it´s part of the trilogy.

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. I thought we'd be the first folks to know...

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what Arrow do with this release.

Why no Blu-ray release? I don't think it matters that the HD masters don't exist as City of the Living Dead were shot on 16mm and looks fine on high-definition.

I already own The Beyond but some new features and a poster, a booklet and fine cover art might persuade me to double-dip. It's a shame if it doesn't get the same treatment as City of the Living Dead though.

City of the Living Dead was shot on 35mm mate

It might be that HD masters just aren't readily available for some of these films. It is also worth remembering they cost a fortune and with the market the way it is that's a big gamble for any company. I am only speculating mind.
