I'd be really happy if the beyond could get an Arrow release to sit next to this and HBTC

Yep.That would be fantastic.
All we'd need then is ZFE.

I would love to see The Beyond get re released by ARROW, but its just got an uncut UK release a few months back .(dvd)

I'd love to see ARROW release it on BluRay though , as well as a ZFE BluRay. That would be sweet.

Interesting - so will there be future collaborations? The reason I ask is so that I don't splash on the BU Blu-rays if they'll be getting a UK release down the road - and I'd much rather support domestic releases.

Released by Beyond Terror and featuring the same 2nd rate, extras-free print as the former Vipco one.

I aint got the Beyond Terror release yet , I got the AB grindhouse , Another World and VIPCO release's of The Beyond , so I dont know what the BT disc is like. I wasn't recomending it .

I was only pointing out that an uncut version of The Beyond was already available in the UK, and as it had just recently been released i wouldn't think ARROW would be looking to put out another version of this film so soon.

That I honestly don't know but I'll let you know as time goes on. You need to be looking at spending an easy £16k to make a hi-def master from original elements and that's a huge cost to bear when you have a release that might only sell a couple of thousand units so any clever ways to reduce costs to make releases happen are important.

The font used looks more suitable for a spaghetti western.

I gathered it was an expensive process. I assume that includes full restoration work as well?

An extremely difficult situation for small distributors, I'm sure. Hopefully, as blu ray adoption increases, the price will drop significantly. Is it fair to say that, at present, UK companies like Arrow are often stuck with the materials they are provided? If so, that alone makes the challenge of offering the consumer the very best upgrade that much greater.

Clearly Arrow are taking the bull by the horns by commissioning new extra features, and compiling the very best extras from existing materials. It's also reassuring to see Arrow and BU's smart joint venture with City Of The Living Dead.
