Arrow Video - City Of The Living Dead

I can understand that - it's just that I (and I imagine many others) want an extremely good NOTLD Blu-ray release and think that Arrow would be the best company to do that. It would also be a good way to finish the original Romero Dead Trilogy, by starting in the middle and finishing at the beginning!

I don't know what's worse, the colourised version or the 30th Anniversary Edition with all the ridiculous extra footage. I guess that's something for another thread as this one has gone way off topic!

Elite Entertainment have put out what is probably the best edition of Romero's original Night of the Living Dead on DVD, the Millenium Edition & the older (cheaper) Special Collectors Edition.

The Elite release is definitely the best one.

Budget UK collectors should seek out the Cinema Club DVD. It has the complete print of the film (including 'The End' logo missing from some versions) plus the excellent Reflections Of The Living Dead documentary.

I own the excellent Millenium Edition DVD and would love something like that with a HD picture but I suppose the best any fan will get is that and an upscaler. I'm happy with what I have but a BD would be ideal.

Re NOTLD -- I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think thee best dvd is from Dimension Extreme. Yes, it's cropped in many shots, but it's superb otherwise. If Don May is even willing to watch it over his dvd(s) of it, that's good enough for me (plus, he did the restorative work on it, just not the cropped transfer).

Re COTLD -- this title is the one that led me to finally going with blu-ray. Who'd of thunk an ultra-grainy Lucio Fulci movie could become a tipping point for such technology?
