Well here's my two penneth.

Sorry Rick ... it's not a monster movie! It's classic arty slasher of the highest order. It really deserves a lot better than this. Don't get me wrong, I like your work a lot Rick ... but covers like this should be ALTERNATE and not to promote the movie as the main artwork... Sorry Arrow, but stick to the classic Hokushin UK video release, or go for some grue and splatter.

Ok - let's see what tomorrow brings in the artwork stakes in terms of opinions - can't be faulted I'd say... I'll be interested to see how panel 3 gets on...

People might pick this up thinking their getting an Asylum movie rather than an art-horror classic!

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't remember there being a giant Octopus in Bay of Blood...

As a stand-alone piece of artwork this is very good, but as the cover of Mario Bava's slasher classic - ridiculous. Looks like something that should be on the front of a Corman DVD.

There's sort-of one on the original Hokushin cover.

Yeah, that is a nice cover kn. I think the Austrian DVD label XT used that very artwork for one of their BoB hardbox releases.

Even though there is an octopus, it is partially hiding a corpse and is an inference to the 'Bay' aspect of the title, I suppose.

As others have also mentioned, Rick's just makes it look like a monster movie - which it is far from being.

I'm not too bothered, as just like Dae said, there will be other artwork choices. However, this just makes it look like Arrow don't have a clue about the films that they're releasing.
