Will the Italian version be included as well? It's a different edit with alternate takes to the English version.

I certainly hope so, but Tim Lucas let me know in an email that two different entities own the two versions of A BAY OF BLOOD. Therefore, rights become more tangled...and expensive. Yuck.

But fingers are crossed!

It's just an opera of murders, with one killing outdoing the last one.

Well put and imo BOB is just Bava's backwoods take on Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians. Nothing more, nothing less.

I never watch movies with such a profound and deep cerebral mindset as some film critics. Cinema's answer to Freud or Jung i'm most definitely not!

For me action and gore always speaks louder than words. Pure and simple.

As always expect some sparkly new extras for this one, including the return of Dardano Sacchetti!

Fantastic news, Calum! The better at making these documentaries and interview features you become, the more we shall start to expect so, just realise that the expectation levels will rise, and rise, and rise...

Another reason for not badmouthing Arrow titles Steve.

As I'm sick of saying, these editions are for real collectors.

Well said and you're bang on the money there.

As long as Arrow supply the expense and effort with their releases i'm only too happy to buy 'em. Both DVD and BR editions. Money well spent for us here who take pride in the titles they collect. I'm in the same pro-Arrow boat here as the rest of you good folks.

No doubt, BOB will be another must-own edition finally getting a worthy U.K. lease of life.

I don't think they're just for collectors as many of these will be bought by people who have never seen the films but are intrigued by the artwork and myriad extra features. There might just be browsing in HMV or somewhere like that, see the box on the shelf and think:
"Mario Bava? I've heard of him but I'm not sure what his films are like though. This looks to be an excellent set and the price isn't bad -- I'll get it and see what it's like."
