I don't think the bbfc are in control of what's shown on tv but I was thinking that it'd be silly to cut it out of the DVD which someone will be buying through their own choice when they could switch over to the Horror Channel on accident and watch the scene there.

Ofcom is the tv regulator, but I don't know if it decides what gets cut or not or classifys films? Or if this is left to the broadcaster. Sky says that they rate the films at the start of movies so

Also the scene being talked about; is it the one where the lizard is pinned to the ground? If so that wouldn't offend anyone. If it was wrong, then the film makers should have been prosecuted for doing it.

I might be wrong but I think OFCOM only allow material that has been classified or given the clearance by the BBFC - so it would be strange if the BBFC cut the scene for DVD. But, you never know.

Lot's of bbfc censored films have been shown uncut on TV. Hell, the Horror Channel even shown the Uncut version of Bloodsucking Freaks, and that has never been submitted to the BBFC.

Well, if so, thats makes the censorship situation in this country even more ridiculous. Hasn't Inferno been shown uncut before the latest BBFC fiasco?

Nothing stays secret for long? Not surprising - there's a hunger for this one! Obviously people can get a good overview of how this release will work out artwise. What I'll do for the rest of this week is get the panels out so you can see them up close.
