And no.. Limited Editions may not represent just different packaging.
You have many Limited Editions that have exclusives on the disks. Some cases are the american limited edition of the movie "Dust Devil" (5 disks) and the american limited edition of "The Dead Pit" (2 disks). Both normal editions of "Dust Devil" and "The Dead Pit" only have 1 disks each.

I meant that this particular release may only have a change in packaging. I understand there are other releases where content changes.

I do hope both editions are 3 discs. I doubt very much I can afford this this year.

Next week I should be able to confirm extras etc, discs, coding and so on so let's hang tight, see what's confirmed and take it from there and certainly the point of this forum is to let opinions through so I'm sure Arrow will take into account comments on limited editions but the more complex they are you need to really plan an order quantity and budget accordingly and that's one of the key reasons behind limited editions. As over time they become more valuable etc that doesn't result in more money for the original label but rather the owners of the sets.

Hear, here! I certainly seem to have opened a can of worms, but in a good way! Certainly we've waited this long for any information, we can wait a few more days for more information. I want to know the details as much as anyone, but I'm assured it kicks ass.

Does anyone know how many places are accepting preorders and how the 5,000 Limited copies will be distributed between them? Will one retailer get more or less if say there are 10,000 total preorders before release date? Just curious how a company figures that stuff out.

Believe me, there won't be 5.000 pre-orders for this release, not even remotely.

I seriously doubt there would be that many pre-orders. 100s tends to be the case if you're doing well.

That is my feeling as well, although, following the announcement the Blu-ray jumped to #6 on Amazon's best-selling BD list.

Even though people dont think there will be that many pre-orders, knowing that there are 5,000 being made. I doubt come January when I got money that there will be any left.
£14.99 on HMV is a very good price considering its same price as standard arrow blus that aint limited.
