The game is away over at the east end of Glasgow. Good idea to stay in the GFT and not stray into any 'rough' pubs folks.

Guys don't worry too much about the match, stay in and around the GFT and all will be fine. My pub is in the East End and I rarely have problems (touch wood!). Nevertheless I'll be joining you all later in the day once I know there is relative calm and I can leave the place without too much worry!

Dear Ireland Thank you for sending some of your rowdiest football fans over on the flight to Glasgow. Myself, Naomi, Sergio and his family really appreciated it. As an aside guys Nico has now left us. He won't come to Scotland as of 9pm last night. Alex at Arrow is understandably upset and I am similarly disappointed for the fans who may have hoped to meet him. Rest assured, he insists he has his reasons (related to business) and I ask we all respect them. However in nearly a decade of interviewing, meeting and in some fortunate cases even befriending some of the world's finest filmmakers I've never met anyone who I think would do this: Bailing on a pre-arranged event less than 24 hours beforehand is a first (and hopefully a last) for me. But I'm glad the event in glasgow is now as it is. I do wish to thank Nico for his appearance in Dublin and I'm sorry he felt he was unable to fulfil commitments made some time ago and under the guise of publicising a title Arrow has paid for and will release in the UK. I of course hope he enjoyed his brief stay in Dublin, the short moments he gave to Horrorthon and whilst I would have liked him to at least meet and greet the other guests out of common courtesy this is but a minor point. On the train from Aberdeen now and very excited about today's screenings! Hopefully will make start just in time. I'm the sideburned dodger in the Night of the Living Dead tee if you want to say hello.

Looks like I'll have plenty of time to check into my hotel after The IOD screening. Bad news that Nico isn't coming now. We won't let it put a dampener on today proceedings though.

Show must go on! Sergio is our guest of honour and rightly so. That's who most people are here to meet.

I`m guessing there`ll be quite a valued extra missing from the I.O.D. dvd release now?

At the moment I'd rather not think of IOD though. If you'd had my past 12 hours you'd understand. |
