Friday The 13th

Hello and welcome to another blog.
My friend had bought me the VHS of Friday The 13th for Xmas because I was curious about it, the title alone made me want to see the film.
I had heard so much about it, so when my friend bought me it I put it on at Xmas Day Evening and was blown away by it.
Sure it was low budget and made in the early 80's but for me the 80s films are better than the films made now. Plus the 80s had many classic horror films come out.
I hadn't seen Halloween so I didn't know what the fuss was about (save that for another blog).
The film had tension, horror, blood, creative ways of murder, and a shock ending.
I like Jason Voorhees moe than I do Michael Myers, the reason is because he was a huge killing machine, looked more menacing and the hocky mask is moe scary than a Willian Shatner mask, he was also more creative in killing.
After I had watched the film I was blown away and hunted out the other DVDs, of the sequels because I liked the story of Jason and wanted to know more.
Which by the sequels I got to know more and through that film I got a love for the 80s slasher films which I bought.
I wanted Friday The 13th on DVD but had learned it wasn't out yet (much to my disappointment).
When it finally came out I didn'y buy it straight away I waited until it came down in price and I had the VHS to tide me over.
I finally go it for 3.99 and it has plenty of extras on it which was good.
So now I have all the Friday The 13th Films on DVD (bar the remake) and they look nice in my horror collection
