Happy March the 13th

I have not been here in quite some time, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things.
Lately I've been craving the keyboard and in the spirit of the '13th' felt maybe it was time to post a story. I'm currently in the middle of a new one and am far to tired to commplete it tonight. So instead here is another one I would have written at around 15.
26 February
The Forbidden Basement
Welcome my seekers of the dark, my last tale unfortunately I felt could not be finished, however I have a new story for all who are interested.
Cat Creep listened for a noise something spooky a hint of another presence then human. She was staying at her grandparents home while her parents had a night on the town.
The boredom was unbearable she had to find something to do.
So Cat walked around the large house checking for her grandparents. Grandma asleep on the couch, grandpa asleep in his study. Perfect opportunity for some mischief.
She remembered the words of her grandparents “keep out of the basement” words to a child of 12 meant “go to the basement there’s fun things to do there”.
In the Basement there was nothing much but cobwebs, dust and an old TV.
She walked over to the TV and flicked the on button. Still worked, if you consider white noise still working. She fiddled a little to try and get a station through. She gave up and turned it off. As she went to walk away she realised, it wasn’t plugged in.
She turned the TV back on more white-noise but this time she held the plug in one hand.
She continued fiddling in a frenzied state when she heard a noise at the top of the stairs “We warned you” her grandparents said in unison “We warned you Cat not to go down the basement, we loved you Cat and you disobeyed us now my you suffer the consequences of your actions”
Cat turned her head to the screen where a thousand faces in black and white began to scream their hands reached out and sucked her in.
Next time your watching your TV make sure its analogue, because if you look carefully for long enough you will see the face of a thousand and one children who disobeyed their grandparents and remember when analogue gets shut down so will the faces.
That was a copy and paste from an old word document. Not very scary however I think it deserves some alterations, so stay tuned for an older and frighting version of "The Forbidden Basement"
