Empire of the Ants
This trailer is a peach! Note the bold and laughable attempt to align to movie with H.G.Wells.
Marvel at the brilliantly awful giant ants!

Killer ants are on the loose in this fantastically silly shocker from Producer Samuel Z. Arkoff, a legend in the world of Drive-In films, who with his company, American International Pictures, produced some of the greatest cinematic trash from the golden era of junk movies.
It opens with a natural history documentary styled introduction to the world of the ant and it's potential to take over the world. This is followed by a shot of red boiler suited men rolling dozens of barrels of highly toxic waste into the ocean...Now that can't be good for the environment...I think this movie may have a message!
Starring Dynasty bitch-queen Joan Collins* as a pushy sales rep trying to push plots of building land to a boat load of badly dressed investors, this bad movie classic sees the local ant population go crazy after one of the barrels of radioactive waste gets washed up on a nearby beach.
Soon the terrified group are fighting for their very lives as the six legged fiends attack and kill!
Thrill as the hideous insects take their fatal revenge on human kind for all that borax poisoning and kettles of boiling water poured into their nests. It's insectoid payback time!
Gasp in disbelief at the cookie cutter characters and bottom rung acting talent on display!
Laugh as the unsympathetic cast get murdered one by one!
A great party movie, Empire of the Ants is a must buy for B-movie junkies...
* Joan Collins nailed her trash movie credentials to the mast in other cheese filled low rent classics like the unholy Mutoid baby feature "I don't want to be born" and British 50s Teddy Boy cash-in, "Cosh Boy"
