A Radio Show I Did About Gialli.
I recently recorded a radio show for my friend's 'net station. It's about the giallo movie and it contains some truly amazing music, as you would imagine. It's not a particularly informative piece, but it does take on a life of it's own about 25 - 30 minutes in. The show itself is an hour and forty minutes long, but unfortunately the pay-off is specific to my friends website so will be lost on any of you who download it, unless you're a regular reader of CookdandBombd, my mates incredibly popular comedy forum.

Here's a link to download the show, all feedback greatly appreciated :

If you download it, feel free to PM me for the tracklisting and the script........

- Funnily enough, I was intending to do a radio show about giallo too about a year ago now, but it never materialized. I've done a bit of radio before and never liked myself as a 'presenter' as such and couldnt find someone/the right person to do it with. d/loading it now, looking forward to hearing it.

Posted 18th June 2009 at 11:14 PM by trench - just listened to it, and i can say i was thoroughly entertained for the last 1hr 40mins. Awesome stuff, not that one can really go wrong with giallo soundtracks, so much great material to play, and you provided a top selection including many of my personal favs(nice to hear girl who knew too much, eyeball(had me tapping away on my desk) and lizard in a womans skin plus many others).
It was a good choice to concentrate more on the music rather than going too in depth talking about the films, which although would of been interesting, could easily result in a boring show (especially to the uninitiated listener). As for the 'presenting style', no probs there, you made a great host. So big up yourself for sharing that, and hope some of the others here get round to checking it out, if not its there loss. Cheers!Posted 18th June 2009 at 11:48 PM by spooks -
Posted 18th June 2009 at 11:50 PM by spooks - Cheers spooks! I was originally going to follow it up with a show about poliziotteschi, and I'm still going to do that one, but I think the next one will be about the good old video nasties.
The only other things I've done are standard non-talking music mixes and a show about the metal music I loved (and still do), for a metal night hosted last November.Posted 19th June 2009 at 12:01 AM by trench - sounds all good. poliziotteschi one is gonna be fire! I'm sure of that. Would be interested in the video nasties too, be interesting to hear what you choose.
I'm up for some metal mixes too, so if you up for posting some of them up, i'll definitely give em a listen, i'm sure there are plenty of others here that'd be up for some metal too.Posted 19th June 2009 at 12:35 AM by spooks - Sorry Trench, I couldn't download it, but I was offered pic's of Local Girls.
