Coincidentally, this is my current audiobook after finishing The Damnation Game. Just listened to the first story "In the Pines" today and it was very good. Looking forward to the rest of it.

Another horror novel from Asda.

They also had a new edition of James Herbert's The Rats. I was tempted but already have that twice.

Have you started The House of Last Resort yet Dem or are you waiting for later in the month?

Be interesting to hear your thoughts. I'm about 4 or 5 chapters in.

I read the first eighty pages / seven chapters last night of House of Last Resort. Really liking it. I like how Golden sets things up beautifully by giving us fully rounded characters and delightful scene setting such as the wonderful Sicilian meal. The place sounds idyllic.

Will be going back to it this evening.

A very clean hardback copy of Dracula from the Air Ambulance shop today. It'll be my fifth copy of Stoker's classic vampire tale but first hardback.

The castle on the cover isn't in Transylvania or anywhere near it. It's the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria and it's well worth a visit. I say this from experience.
