![]() Heroes of Horrors and issue 15 of Monster. Heroes of the horrors is a book from 1975 that i had as a xmas present when I was about 12 yrs old.It has the biographies of Lon Chaney Sr., Bela Legosi, Peter Lorre, Lon Chaney Jr., Boris Karloff, and Vincent Price and it basically fell apart from being read so much.Luckily there are still a few 2nd hand copies floating about,so i picked one up from Amazon. Porn director Shaun Costello has just published his first book...and it is about his friendship with Harry Reems. It is Kindle only I'm afraid and a little steep in price at £6.50 for 101 pages but what the f*ck it is only money!

I grabbed this book, more as introduction to Bergman because although I'm a massive film fan, and I love both classics and European cinema I have never seen a Bergman film, not even The Seventh Seal! ![]() There is around 10 films streaming on Amazon Prime Instant so if anyone has a recommendation for where to start I'd appreciate the help!

Thanks Nos, all 3 of those are streaming so I'll try Wild Strawberries, and of course I know that The Virgin Spring is the inspiration for many an exploitation flick and is a name I've heard many times!

The first Bergman film I watched was Persona. I found it difficult to breakdown, but I was very impressed all the same. It's something of a precursor to Mulholland Drive I suppose, at least thematically. Hour Of The Wolf is probably the closest he's come to a horror film, really trippy film that one. |

Persona is the one on the cover of the book isn't it?
