The Stress of Her Regard by Tim Powers. The poets Byron, Shelley, and Keats fight their vampiric muses. Will they choose their craft, as their loved-ones pay with their lives, or will they turn their back on the vampiric creatures that enhance their literary abilities?

One of my favourite books and finally re-reading it after about 20 years!

I'm amazed its never been picked to make into a film. On Stranger Tides (by the same author) was made into the 4th Pirates of the Caribbean film, but IMO this book would be way more interesting to bring into the cinematic realm.

I'm currently re-reading (for the first time in 20 years) SUMMER OF NIGHT by Dan Simmons. Man, I love a good coming-of-age tale . . . .

I've just started a series of books by Jim Butcher called 'The Dresden Files' they follow Chicago's only Wizard P.I. Harry Dresden and the supernatural cases he gets. I've only read the first 2 so far but we've had a Warlock drug dealer and Werewolves so far!

Just finished Drood by the same author. A fictional account of the friendship between Dickens and Wilkie Collins and the 'supernatural' origins of Dickens last unfinished novel The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Really enjoyable read that is let down by the ending IMO.

I'm halfway through the William Peter Blatty novel Elsewhere, which started off well and is getting better with every page.
