I don't read 'traditional' hero comics but I do keep up to date and buy stuff that looks quirky and fun or interesting. These are my current reads, they are all different in style but equally as engaging!  No Mercy  Arcadia  Giant Days  UFOlogy The SurfacePublishers I favour are Boom! and Image, and a bit of Vertigo if I'm in the mood... troggi likes this.

My otherhalf reads a lot of graphic novels and i enjoy going to our local comic book store to buy bits for her for crimbo but never paid any attention to the books really ( i have a short attention span) until recently a mate told me a sketch i was working on reminded him of a GNovel callled Parasyte.... we tracked down book 1 and i'm hooked! our comic vender told me about another book called 7 billion needles, a four part series like invasion of the body snatchers.. we got book 1 and 2 and i just fell in love with it! today we went back to get book 2 and 3 of Parasyte and he reccomened a few other books, we picked up issue one of Gantz and we plan to get a few other books on payday.  this is what we picked up recently. Parasyte book 1,2 and 4 (of 7) 7 Billion needles book 1 and 2 (of four) Gantz book 1 (of about 25 i think?)
