I watched the Optimum disc (twice!) and it looks stunning.
The inserts are hardly noticeable and there are only 2 short sequences in Italian with subs when watching the English dub.
The audio is also very pleasing.
I'd say the English dub is my favorite (although it differs somewhat from the Italian)
A really good giallo with a great cast and some fantastic eye candy (especially now it's largely been mastered from the negative).

A fantastic job by Marc Morris!

Sounds good -- it probably won't be too long before I add it to my collection. I'm very keen to see just how good it looks and sounds.

I actually watched the original trailer (which doesn't look very good but it's nice to have it included) before watching the film.
If I hadn't known that the film would look much better I would have panicked I think...

I hadn't realised that Marc Morris had been involved with this. I'm genuinely curious to know what is involved in supervising a transfer - does anyone know?

Same here and i do believe Optimum's ALIAWS will drop down in cost sooner or later.

I made the mistake of paying top whack for their Frontiers DVD and was quite dismayed when that release crashed down in price sometime later. Once bitten, twice shy and patience reaps it's own reward.

I just wish there were more like him working on U.K. DVD releases of our fave exploitation and cult fare.

Imo right now the best British indie labels for our sort of viewing material are Shameless, Nucleus and Arrow. They all try hard to deliver what we want.

ABUK were good until Starz Entertainment took over, HKL's fortunes dipped dramatically once Bey Logan headed Stateside and Optimum's efforts are something of a mixed bag. Some worthy stuff and some definite missed opportunities. As far as i'm concerned bar the print and PQ, ALIAWS falls into the latter category but i'll have it anyway at a later date.

I'll certainly be picking up a copy of this on payday! I have an old pre-cert and the Shriek Show releases but this sounds pretty indispensible.
