Strip Nude for Your Killer (Region Free) (Limited Edition) [Blu-ray] - Amazon

I'll stick with my Arrow BD

IMG_1042.jpg

Quote:
Starring Edwige Fenech, Andrea Bianchi's tantalisingly sleazy slasher-cum-Giallo, STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER, ignited a new era of salacious shockers. Diverging from the conventional mystery elements of the genre, this film cranks up the intensity with its unabashed display of nudity and grisly violence. Prepare to be seduced by a movie that delivers on its promise of sleazy, nudity-filled gore, ensuring wave after wave of guilty exploitation pleasure for aficionados. It's success later led Bianchi to make 'Burial Ground'.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of 1970s Milan, the untimely demise of a fashion model triggers a series of gruesome murders orchestrated by a mysterious killer in black leathers and a motorcycle helmet. The victims, all associated with a glitzy modeling agency, are slain in increasingly horrifying and gory manners.

With the chilling realisation that she may be the next target of this grisly frenzy, fashion photographer Magda (portrayed by the quintessential scream queen of Giallo, Edwige Fenech) sets out to uncover the truth behind the killings. Assisted by her photographer boyfriend, Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo), she races against time to unveil the identity of the killer before it's too late, unravelling a surprising and salacious plot twist at the very end.

Special Features:

- 2K Restored from original negative. Full HD 1080P
- Seamless options: Uniquely this release presents a choice of both 'Tinted' or regular 'Untinted' Opening scene Versions
- Interview with Star Nino Castelnuovo 'The Sweetest Memory'
- Interview with Star Erna Schurer 'Emma'
- New English Subtitles & additional SDH
- All-Region

I wasn't HD ready when the US Arrow release was available so i'm quite pleased about this. I currently own the film via the Blue Underground dvd.

Hope they don't mess it up.

I didn't even realise the Arrow Blu-ray was OOP but looks like it is.

Edit: it's now only available in the GIALLO ESSENTIALS YELLOW BLU-RAY boxset and definitely worthwhile in a sale. Shameless have some cheek asking for 24.99 GBP - Shameless lol

There's another re-release on the horizon!

"Some of you, with a keen eye for detail, have noticed that STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER is our 26th Blu-ray release, while number 25 is missing. We bumped up STRIP NUDE in the release schedule, but 25 will follow shortly. Any guesses on which title is getting an upgrade?"

Responses:
- House with the laughing windows, who saw her die, what have they done to your daughters, contraband, any of those will be nice
- Black Belly of the Tarantula needs a blu ray release. Btw can you release The Washing Machine in a standard edition?
- Phantom of Death, Ratman?
- A corrected version of dellamorte
- You could get the beyond right
- Hopefully formula for a murder or house with laughing windows

With its poignant exploration of loss, it stands as a prime example of introspective giallo.

Shameless released this seminal title on DVD in the UK, and now we're eager to gauge interest in a Blu-ray release. Who's ready for an upgrade?"
"Coming soon from Shameless Films

Aldo Lado's chilling Venetian-set giallo, WHO SAW HER DIE?

This atmospheric thriller, starring former James Bond star George Lazenby, is the latest addition to our Blu-ray collection of cult films and horror classics. Release date to follow shortly - stay tuned for more updates!"

Is that an actual image from the film or a photoshop job?

Who Saw Her Die.jpg

Just wondering because it looks as though the bridge is too small for Lazenbys legs. Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks.
Or he has a big body and small legs, lol.

Can't unsee it now.

Despite quite liking it on first glance i could tell something was 'off' about the artwork. You've nailed it.

The bridge is too small.

It just looks crap now! Like you say. You can't unsee it either.

Full details (and a better cover design [or maybe not!])

'Who Saw Her Die?' (1972) - Coming to Blu-ray in the UK from Shameless Screen Entertainment:

Release date: August 25

George Lazenby, in a career-defining departure from his role as James Bond 007 (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), delivers a powerful, gutsy performance in Aldo Lado's chillingly disturbing giallo masterpiece, WHO SAW HER DIE?

Lazenby portrays Franco Serpieri, a sculptor recently separated from his wife (Anita Strindberg). He invites their young daughter, Roberta (Nicoletta Elmi), to spend time with him in an autumnal Venice. As father and daughter joyfully make up for lost time exploring the city, their idyllic bonding is shattered when Roberta becomes the target of a dangerous child-killer lurking in the city's foggy canals. Consumed by grief and driven by a thirst for justice, a tormented Franco embarks on his own investigation, uncovering vicious depravity in the highest echelons of Venetian society controlled by a Machiavellian art-dealer Adolfo Celi (Largo in 007's Thunderball).

Bearing striking and uncanny similarities to Nicolas Roeg's later film, Don't Look Now, Lado's WHO SAW HER DIE? delves into a father's haunting guilt within a spellbinding giallo mystery.

Enhanced by Ennio Morricone's eerie score and Franco Di Giacomo's (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly) evocative cinematography, now properly revealed in this definitive 2K-restored version, it showcases the giallo genre at its most chilling and captivating."

Special Features and Technical Specs:
  • 2K RESTORATION OF THE FILM FROM THE ORIGINAL CAMERA NEGATIVE
  • Interview of Director Aldo Lado - 'Ring a Ring o'Rosie'
  • Interview of Producer Enzo Doria - 'The Quest for Money'
  • Interview of writer Francesco Barilli - 'To Live and Die in Venice'
  • Aldo Lado Q&A courtesy of the 'Abertoir Horror Festival'
  • New English subtitles & additional English SDH

According to DVDCompare, the previous DVD release was uncut, with deleted scenes being reinserted:

"R0 UK is Anamorphic, has English and Italian soundtracks and English subtitles, and is the longest integrated version available.

R0 US & UK runtimes are significantly longer than the R2 German release as they have re-integrated deleted scenes back into the main film. Although the Shameless 24fps equivalent runtime of 88:54 is over a minute longer than Severin's 87:45, all but 10 secs is due to the longer end credits of the former. In particular, the Shameless end credits continue for nearly a minute with the title song playing to a black screen. The extra 10 secs is likely due to the inclusion of a few more frames of "deleted" material deemed to be of insufficient quality to be incorporated into the Severin release. For example, Shameless vs Severin has about 2 secs extra at around 2:15 / 2:20 when Papaya first walks up the beach and another 2 secs at around 54:40 / 56:48 where Papaya walks with the protesters."
