I also thought it wasn't very good (it's a really old transfer) but some people told me it looked fine...

I've just had a shipping e-mail from Amazon, so I'll hopefully have it in the next few days.

Will be picking this up.

I've got it. Haven't had time to check it properly yet, but at first glance the transfer looks similar to the Medusa disc and The Lizard scene is intact.
Here are a few screenshots from the AB, Medusa and Shameless discs. I had problems capturing exactly the same moment on the lower ones, but you get the gist.

I think the materials for each release were scanned differently (or probably from different sources). The relative aspects are the same, but where the Anchor Bay release shows more information to the left (as you look at it) and bottom, the Shameless release shows more information to the right and top of the image.

I'm quite content to own the Shameless Duckling over the ABUS release but imo the former DVD is the least impressive fan edition Shameless has delivered thus far. More like a glorified standard title methinks and i mean that in the nicest possible way! However, i still appreciate the typical hard work Stephen Thrower and Marc Morris have put into the relevant U.K. DVD. Imo a good release of Fulci's controversial Giallo but not a great one.

Does anyone knows when play.com gets it in stock? I ordered it last week and it still says "Usually dispatched within 3-5 days".

Got this a few days ago, great film, had never seen it before. I love films set in the countryside.

I was going to change the cover to the french poster, but then noticed I would end up with the french title on the spine too, why would I have the french title on a british release of an italian movie?!? Well, back to the new cover art....

Sorry, I don't know when Play.com will get this in stock as I ordered mine from Amazon and they shipped it very quickly. Play.com are usually very good but, if it isn't 'Packing' yet and you're in a hurry to get your hands on a copy, consider Amazon.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, i just cancelled my order from play.com and ordered it through Amazon instead, also ordered Almost Human! And amazon is usually way more faster in shipping to Sweden than play.com of some reason, hopefully they will arrive before friday(they dont have mail on saturdays and sundays in Sweden)
