Last Game Bought

Just bought Dead Island Riptide off PSN for 12.99. Fancied picking up a fps zombie game just in time for Halloween. This is a PS4 version with enhanced graphics. Loved the first game (played through it 3 times) so this should be a fairly safe purchase. Haven't previously played this sequel. The 3rd game was Dying Light which I did try out on PS4. Was enjoying it until I got to a platforming section where you had to make a specific jump. Tried several times but failed every time, falling to my death - sold that game off! Am pleased that the Dead Island games don't feature platforming and just concentrate on zombie/mutated creature killing with melee or gun weapons.

Traded in Destiny 2 and picked up Shadow of War for ps4 and pokemon silver for ds

Was going to get shadow war but waiting for reviews on assassin's creed origin's, as it looks interesting and always liked anything to do with ancient Egypt.

Fair enough, I've gotten bored with the AC series, so I doubt to be fair; I'll let you know how Shadow of War plays

hey Treb slightly off topic but how does the X Box one S compare with the PS4 ,thinking over going over to the dark side myself soon...

It's less powerful BUT it's still the cheapest 4k blu ray player on the market, also while it doesn't make a lot of difference n how something looks it upscales movies and games to 2160p , PS4 still has the better exclusive but Xbox is getting more once the Xbox X launches

when you say less powerful,do you mean gaming wise,do you notice any differences..?,,sorry to ask dumb ass questions just my PS4 is starting to play up..had it nearly 4yrs now so time to change me thinks..

It's supposed of been a complete revamp of combat with this new game and a lot of RPGs elements are supposed to be added it's also got this thing were random encounters and missions take place and are supposed to change each time you play, but still waiting on reviews incase it turns out a bug ridden mess like unity was.

Gaming wise, but most of the time it's not that notecable. Lots of good deals around for the S with the X out soon and if you wait a few weeks can see even better deals coming along

I bought this at launch for PS4 but there was no way in hell i was forking out another 50 or 60 bucks for the season pass. I found this brand new in a local game store for €35 it's the complete edition with the season pass included. The strange thing is its not a game of the year edition because two of the four planned DLCs are not even released yet. Its a bit of a kick in the teeth to anyone that bought the season pass from the start 120 bucks down the drain great for me tho.
