Took the plunge and ordered the new Best Buy exclusive French Connection BD. Couldn't wait until it was available everywhere.

I read about the new transfer and hasn't it altered Freidkin's version and not got "The Poughkeepsie Shuffle"doc?

It's back to the way it's supposed to look apparently (or rather, the way it looked before Freidkin altered it for ther last BD), and I already have the doc on the last BD, so it's all good.

Got Kill List and the Nightmare On Elm Street boxset through the other day. I've only ever seen the original Elm Street, so looking forward to the sequels.

I also ordered Texas Chain Saw Massacre, but what I actually received was 4GB of RAM. Very odd.

I haven't used them before, but this might be a perfect opportunity. I haven't yet bought the UK release but, if it's cheap enough, I may pick it up for the extra features, French Connection II and to compare the colour palette to my DVD and the US BD.

The French Connection is such a great movie it really needs to be in my collection, with the best possible image quality.
