Bit of trivia, and totally off topic!

The original title for the Alice Cooper album 'Raise Your Fist And Yell' was going to be 'Shriek of the Mutilated', in tribute to this film

You have to love Alice, I don't think he's done a duff album ever. And before you say "What about...?" Yeah I love that one as well (even "Flush the Fashion"). And talk about film buff, his albums are littered with cult film "in-jokes": "The Ballad of Dwight Fry", "Feed my Frankenstein", Vincent Price's contribution to "Welcome to My Nightmare", Fay Wray getting a mention in "Escape"... The list goes on.

His film appearances range from a non-speaking but prominent role in Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness" to the Devil himself in "Suck" the rock vampire movie.

His love for Hollywood is so great that he bought the 2nd "O" in the "HOLLYWOOD" sign as a dedication to Groucho Marx and has been recorded as saying:
Quote:
I didn't really care about meeting Rod Stewart or "Sonny and Cher". I wanted to meet Groucho Marx, Fred Astaire, Errol Flynn. I wanted to meet the guys that had invented me, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, the real stars.
Yeah, you HAVE to love Alice!

A few things with a bit of spare dosh. I know I said I found the stop motion effects in Alice to be a bit rubbish but i've warmed to Svankmajor by watching some of his shorts online, so i'll give it another shot sooner or later. Hey, It was a tenner! You've probably noticed by now I like buying my stuff theme based!

I go through phases of buying too. Went through an arty stage one month and bought Alice, Fantastic Planet and L'age d'or with Un chien andalou(Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali's surrealist films). Also bought Hausu(house), Viy(the spirit of evil) Uzumaki,Come and see and The Hourglass Sanatorium. All pretty interesting and unique films.
In contrast in the next phase i bought alien films Promethius,Galaxy of terror,Evil Aliens and The Deadly Spawn.
Lately i've bought alot of sleazy and cheap but entertaining movies; Bloodsucking freaks,Take an easy ride,Mother's day,Demoniac,Blood orgy of the she devils,Skinned deep and The Child.
Its good to have a bit of variety i think.

A quiet week on the purchases as only a few Amazon marketplace orders and charity shop purchases.
I managed to get stitches for only £4.99 from play and sainsburys had Dredd on bluray for £6.
I also Pre-ordered the Evil Dead Zavvi exclusive steelbook as had a 10% discount code.
