With sad passing of Gareth Thomas decided to waste more money and order this. Which turns out to be the cheapest option to get the show if you don't mind German packing and menus, but it has the advantage of having better picture quality than the UK release

Edit

Forget that my order has now been canceled and the cheap copies have now disappeared from Amazon.

It was £16.24. As I've bought enough this week, will give a miss unless it comes back in stock at that price, but I think they didn't have enough stock to cover sales or it's been removed so they can put it back up later at an incresed price because of his passing

Department S is good fun, and it's better than it's spin-off Jason King, as a post Avengers show it shows it's low budget at times but Peter Wyngarde as Jason King is worth the ride alone and there's the guest stars... Lois Maxwell, Anthony Hopkins and other British stalwarts pop up thru the series, so IMHO better than Champions and Protectors but The Persuaders is a bit more fun as Dept. S gets quite 'melodrama' at times, the price of the Dept. S box set has always put me off, saw it as high as £75 so glad I dvdr'd it off itv4 few years ago.

It's £35 pre-owned in CEX, if I didn't have the show already £18 is a steal, 28 episodes + extras, "fine value my dear boy"
