I decided to jump on it as a blind buy what with all the mostly positive buzz it has been receiving... especially as it's one I was curious about pre-buzz anyway. HMV were selling it for £9.99 and apparently it comes with a nice slipcover so that was added incentive to order it too.

A similar scenario with The Girl with All the Gifts. Amazon dropped it to £7, which is the same price they're charging for the DVD release and I was looking at something to add with Ghosts of Mars (which bizarrely HMV are currently selling for £19.99) in order to take me over the free delivery threshold so it seemed too good to pass up.

It is indeed. I tend to enjoy her performances even if the film itself isn't fantastic (however this one is supposed to be very good) so I'm sure that it will be a very safe blind-buy.

I'm the same.

Some fine choices by the way. Nina Forever, Sightseers and The Bloodstained Butterfly were all films i thought excellent.

Satan's Blade and Microwave Massacre will be on my radar when i hit Fopp again in just over a weeks time.

Satan's Blade is the only other film of the bunch that I haven't seen before... perhaps not a very safe blind-buy going off various comments. However, I'm intrigued to check it out and I'm used to dwelling at the bottom of the cinematic sewer anyway with my frequent dips into Nightmare USA and other various grindhouse, b-movie and SOV slasher fare. It therefore might surprise me, and if not there's always CEX... I mean it can't be worse than Hellgate... Can it?!

I saw her in the lead role in Their Finest today, in which she was brilliant. However, back on topic, I've just ordered The Girl With All the Gifts, which is expected in 1-4 weeks!

If it is then it must be truly awful!

I've had Their Finest in my wishlist since last weekend. Glad you rate it.
