Until I watched Lizard In A Womans Skin I would've sworn 'til I was blue in the face that Dario Argento was and still is the master of giallo. It was just as easy to tag Fulci as the godfather of gore but now I'm not so sure. Now I see Shameless are set to release Fulci's Don't Torture A Duckling also starring the incredible Florinda Bolkan and having read some of the views expressed it would seem it's as good a giallo if not better than LIAWS. That's one of the reasons why I love Arrow, Shameless and classic Italian cinema because they never cease to amaze, please and educate me all at once!

Nice.

I'm hoping Blue Underground Blu this one up in the near future - they are apparently supposed to be releasing two other great Cohen's on Blu this year: God Told Me To and Q: The Winged Serpent.

Picked up Re-Animator, Killer Nun, Ratman and Oasis Of Fear. Going to finish my first Shameless 20 with Baba Yaga, Who Saw Her Die? and What Have They Done To Your Daughters? Will also be getting Phenomena and The Beyond while looking forward to getting Satans Baby Doll, The Beast In Space and Love Godess Of The Cannibals.

Looks good.

Just ordered Spirits Of The Dead from Arrow Films. Heard great things about it and I'm a sucker for the 4 panel releases.

The last two blu rays I've watched have both been BFI Flipside releases; Herostratus and Privilege. Absolutely loved them both.

Watched Recently:

HOUSE OF THE DEVIL:- Excellent film! One of the finest horror movies of recent years I would say. Loved how it harked back to the eighties in almost every aspect; from the props/ used to the fairly heavy (but very consistent) grain present on the blu ray image.

PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK:- Classic seventies horror/mystery/period drama. Great music in the film, along with the isolation of the Australian outback around Hanging rock, generates a very surreal atmosphere. Very good AV on the BD too.

Just ordered OMEGA MAN (iconic 70s sci-fi bordering on blaxploitation film ) for £4.47 from tesco website:

Charlton Heston really was the king of sci-fi in the 70s
