The Second Sight version of 'Return Of The Living Dead' also contains the original soundtrack and *not* the altered audio that most releases have

Didn't even know there were altered versions, i've still got an old dvd copy. Hate it when they change music and alter films randomly, unless it's a director's cut. Return of the living deads soundtrack is a big pull for me, used to have the vinyl and still have the original uk vhs poster that highlights the music featured. It’s usually because the band or their management are asking for too much money for the song license or just plainly refuse. I think it’s The Damned song that’s missing but I can’t be 100% sure. Unrelated but related, the newest release of Wayne’s World has finally got the Stairway to Heaven gag reinstated, so when the guitar shop guy points to the No Stairway to Heaven sign it actually makes sense haha. Led Zeppelin blocked that for years!

From Amazon, for anyone who’s ever seen an Italian film from the last 40 years but not watched the epic Ennio documentary (2hrs 35 mins, flies by) I highly recommend it. Had me in tears the first time I saw it. From the director of Cinema Paradiso.

That Ennio doc looks okay but it could do with a few star names talking about him. I don't know, it just seems to be lacking somewhat. Clint Eastwood, Bruce Springsteen, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Tarantino! Who are they? |

Quote:
Take John Williams. So many of his films have been huge in the history of cinema since he had huge acclaim for Jaws in the mid seventies. Morricone meanwhile would score something such as Argento's Phantom of the Opera or Exorcist II and automatically make them more interesting than the dross they'd be without his music. |
