A payday treat. These Tigon Collection discs are really nice, double walled slip cover, and a proper booklet with interviews and essays. Great artwork too.

Latest Arrivals.

Interestingly there isn't a single BBFC logo on Butcher Baker.

I wonder how that will affect people who take their copy to CEX

In the past, I have been told they will not take anything that doesn't have a UK cinema rating

[I don't think the people who work in our local CEX have any idea who / what the BBFC is, but they do find those little emoji-like things that are found on the front of DVD / Blu-Rays / games etc and consist of letters and numbers to be useful when it comes to them selling stock!]

As far as the packaging is concerned it?s an American release so CEX won?t take it, although as the disc has the 18 on it they might. It?s hit and miss in my local, they sometimes have stickers on American discs with the UK certs on, then other times they?ve refused to take a Dream Theater concert film off me because it only had the German rating on it.

I tried to take in the Anchor Bay 'Hellraiser' sphere set to the Torquay branch, but they wouldn't touch it because it didn't have a BBFC cert visible on the outside (regardless of the fact that all 5 discs contained an '18' mark)

Mind you, someone who gets a copy of 'Butcher Baker, Nightmare Maker' probably knows what they will be getting, so will be unlikely to want to take it to CEX anyway !

Surely it's all to do with whether a disc barcode scans and shows up on their system.

Plenty of documentaries don't have BBFC certs and they sell those.

Yep, it is rubbish. Just had a look. It looked okay previously on a non-HD smaller screen tv.

It's already in the bin. There are lovely proper full 16:9 HD prints on YouTube. Can't understand why two fairly well regarded movies haven't had better treatment yet. At least over here.
