I hope he doesn't get The Antichrist as that's rubbish as well.
I already have Antichrist

Picked up 2 one pound dvds from our Cex. Eight Legged Freaks and the Solaris remake. Can't recall much about Eight Legged Freaks but I recall that the Solaris remake was an interesting mood piece. At those prices, it's difficult to go too badly wrong.

Caved in and bought the Blu Ray set of series 1 of Blake?s 7 - and am loving it.
Not having seen these for donkeys years, they have held up far better than I ever expected.
Together with the restoration work on the episodes and the optional new special effects, this is a revelation.

This has been in Cex for ages. I've had a voucher but there's been nothing or real appeal for a while so I took a chance. As it was the price was wrong and it was actually ?12 meaning I didn't have to spend any money.20250208_171108.jpg

I've always wanted to watch Waterloo but never got round to it. I remember almost ordering that limited edition several times but never pulling the trigger. It looks a lovely set (I trust it's complete?) with it's book. cards and poster.

Sods law that the one time i did fancy purchasing when i was looking for an epic to watch it had gone out of print.

Yes it's complete. It's a total blind buy but it seems to have numerous good reviews. I had a ?13 voucher so was expecting to pay a fiver. As it was I got a quid left. There is a standard edition that seems easily available Dem.

CEX are really good at doing that

I wonder how much money they are losing by not actually noting the price reductions. I know there have been numerous occasions when I have been in a store 'away from home', seen something I was interesting but thought "I'm not paying that much", only to get home, look at it on the website and find it for half the in-store listed price ... and well within my budget

I think I've only seen Stardust once and remember thoroughly enjoying it, so it's surprising that I don't own a copy yet.
