This is the first time I've had an issue with a used DVD, most of my collection comes from sellers on eBay or Amazon etc and I'll only buy them if they can guarantee a mint condition item. CEX check all discs for playability but don't list what condition the disc is in, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, I'll be more careful from now on

Just picked this up for £17 instore at HMV. They've got a pretty decent sale on at the minute - also had Alien Anthology BD for the same price.

I picked up I Saw The Devil on Blu-ray today for only £8 with nice slipcover too. Well chuffed! Haven't seen it yet but I'm sooooo looking forward to it, that's tonights viewing sorted

Picked up Predator Trilogy on bluray today. Just realised the version of Predator is the smeary-overly DNR-ed version. I'm usually not one to notice such things that much but even I find this off-putting to watch at times having had a quick flick through.

Also bought Withnail and I for £2.99 and just purchased Kick Ass on Amazon Marketplace for £5.70. I usually use PlayTrade but since zoverstocks sell on both sites and always undercut to be the cheapest it's worked out cheaper to get it on Amazon


And that's me done for a while I assure you. I'm about to go back to uni and be a poor starving student (as opposed to a full-time worker who is saving to go back to uni) so really can't afford to spend much anymore. Have god only knows how many unwatched discs to get through now anyway


edit: we-ll, I'm watching a few things on eBay. I'll see how they turn out. *Then* I'm done

It is pretty bad isn't it. That's why I bought the original release as well. That one for the film, and the Hunter Edition for the extras.

I would have gone for the US Demolition Man disc Reaper. No dubbing the Taco Bell lines with Pizza Hut and digitally altering the signs.
