I'm considering buying the Criterion Collection BD of Salò -- the price is a bit on the steep side though.

I've read that both the BFI and the Criterion Blu-ray releases are top-notch - so it seems only a matter of taste.

Greetings!

Had a rare splurge recently and currently awaiting the arrival of these BDs....

Withnail and I is only £2.99 for the BD at HMV.com at the moment.

The Criterion release is not out yet so cant really say what its like but as its Criterion then it should be very good. The BFI suffers from edge enhancement on the outdoor scenes.

For the extras? Or do you really want a nice crisp image of coprophagia in action?

You're right. Sorry, my mistake. I was confusing it with another film's Blu-ray (but how in the world is this possible with Salò ).

Greetings!

Just want to reccomend Tucker and dale vs evil.

tucker and dale.jpg

Rented from work last night. VERY funny movie with Alan tudyk frome serenity and firefly. Two hillbillys go to their cabin in the woods for a vacation, a group of college kids camping out nearby think their psychos, hilarity ensues.

Actually a much better post-modern slasher than scream ever was.

Also my blus of LAST STARFIGHTER, MY BLOODY VALENTINE and FRAILTY, all showed up. FRAILTY is a much better disc than the barebones release in the uk and all 3 look supurb. (region free as well)
