I'd prefer to watch The Lost Boys on loop than have to sit through The ****ing Goonies again.

As much as I like Bride of Frankenstein the lack of Bride as Dem said is a big problem for me.

It wouldn't be so bad if the bride was actually in it for more than five minutes.

Whilst i do like Bride of Frankenstein i don't see it as the untouchable classic others do.
Fair enough.

I really like the original, but Bride is one of the few films I could watch over and over again. For me it is indeed an untouchable, almost flawless film.

I also prefer Frankenstein to Bride, although both are excellent films.

As for The Goonies I do enjoy it a fair bit and certainly prefer it to The Lost Boys, which as we all know draws comparisons with Twilight what with it being an unofficial prequel of sorts.

there wolf.jpg

Werewolf…. There wolf, there castle.

Company of wolves
The howling
An American werewolf in London
Ginger Snaps
The wolf man (original)
Dog soldiers
Curse of the werewolf
Werewolf woman
Cat people (i'm putting this in because it's close enuff, a lot of people have mentioned "The Beast within" but i'm sure he turns into a bug in that, even though i do like that film.)
Mad monster party

Monster squad and The Wolfen almost made it.
Was thinking about Howling 2 and The beast must die as well, i find them both really enjoyable but good taste prevented me because i admit they are both a bit shit.

And here's a selection of kiddie friendly werewolves, just because.

The whole Lost Boys vs Near Dark is quite amusing to me too. I always say I prefer The Lost Boys but only because I can remember that film in its entirety while for Near Dark I literally can't remember anything about it apart from a car with blacked out windows.
I need to watch it again to make an actual judgement. I do have the 2 disc anchor bay DVD in my collection so I'll dig it out and watch it at some point.

Bride is still a classic film but its one of those films where i think the director was given a bit too much free reign. Its a little too camp and self indulgent for my taste. Vastly different films but Sam Raimi's Spiderman 3 is another example. Some directors work better under a little restraint i think.
