I suppose we're not counting his cut of Dawn Of The Dead, or anything like that. So, my fave Argento flicks would probably be...

10. Sleepless
9. The Cat o' Nine Tails
8. Opera
7. The Bird with the Crystal Plumage
6. Four Flies on Grey Velvet
5. Deep Red
4. Phenomena
3. Inferno
2. Tenebrae
1. Suspiria

Close call between Suspiria and Giallo though
How many of the others have you seen, and how would you rank them?

This isn't a top 10 list. It's a rank in order of all the Dario Argento films you have seen.

The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970)
The Cat o' Nine Tails (1971)
Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971)
The Tram (1973)
The Eyewitness (1973)
Five Days in Milan (1973)
Deep Red (1975)
Suspiria (1977)
Inferno (1980)
Tenebre (1982)
Phenomena (1985)
Opera (1987)
Two Evil Eyes -The Black Cat (1990)
Trauma (1993)
The Stendhal Syndrome (1996)
The Phantom of the Opera (1998)
Sleepless (2001)
The Card Player (2004)
Do You Like Hitchcock? (2005)
Jenifer (2005)
Pelts (2006)
Mother of Tears (2007)
Giallo (2009)
Dracula 3D (2012)
Just to be clear so far I've only actually seen 10 of Darios films.

These are my Argento, I know it's a 10 but I think all the rest are much 'also included' equally below this ten (the exemptions are Giallo(very poor) and Dracula(haven't seen it but it seems a bit of a dud) which don't even rate inclusion.)

1- Profondo Rosso
2- Suspiria
3- Tenebrae
4- Opera
5- Bird with the Crystal Plumage
6- Inferno
7- Phenomena
8- Mother of Tears
9- Stendahl Syndrome
10- Sleepless

Suspiria has always been my fave and i think it always will be. Inferno is a fine sequel and i find Mother of Tears endlessly entertaining. Opera lands in third place as i have an original US one sheet of the movie poster and it seems to play better because of it. The Tram is so high as it's a wonderful bit of police procedure. The middle ground from Stendahl down to The Eyewitness are a bit up in the air and in a way could have fallen anywhere in the list around the mid section. Below The Eyewitness comes a serious lack in quality although i found Dracula 3D extremely entertaining but i'm not sure if it was for the reasons dear Dario intended. Look, i'm sorry but i think Cat O' Nine Tails is ****ing boring and Trauma is just shit.

Erm, you put Opera twice.
Call yourself an inspector.

MoT....of any list twould be the last on it, sheeesh etc. Though it is a comedy classic.

In this order.
Amended! These are the Argento films that I have seen, the trailer for Giallo made me want to blind myself, and Dracula went off after 20 minutes.

Ahem.
