I'm not 100% sure - I think it was a sketch for Comic Relief a good few years ago now. Maybe even before they rebooted the series.

I wondered if it was before 2005. It's interesting that Gatiss and to a far lesser extent Walliams, have so much to do with the series now.

New list, with Monty Python's Flying Circus replacing Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

As usual, in no particular order:

The Sopranos

The Wire – I love the different versions of the song on all five seasons and can't pick a favourite from them.

Sons of Anarchy

The X-Files

Twin Peaks

Inspector Morse

The Ren & Stimpy Show

True Blood

Peter Gunn (I've never seen the show, but love the music)

Monty Python's Flying Circus

I love the way David Walliams and Mike Gatiss (bisexual/pansexual and homosexual, respectively) really play with the sexuality of the characters.

It's from 13th November, 1999, when BBC2 held a 'Doctor Who' night, with the entire evening schedule given over to the programme. The full schedule ran:
  • The Pitch of Fear - Comedy sketch starring Mark Gatiss and David Walliams.
  • Adventures in Space and Time - Documentary on the history of the show, narrated by Peter Jones**.
  • How to Live Forever - Professor Tom Kirkwood talks about the possibility of regeneration.
  • Carnival of Monsters - A look at the various monsters that have appeared in the show.
  • The Web of Caves - Comedy sketch starring Mark Gatiss and David Walliams.
  • How to Build a TARDIS - Dr Jim Al-Khalili talks about the possibility of a TARDIS.
  • The Daleks - The final episode of this seven part story, "The Rescue".
  • The Kidnappers - Comedy sketch starring Mark Gatiss and David Walliams, also featuring Peter Davison.
  • The TV movie - A showing of the uncut 1996 TV movie, starring Paul McGann.

**NOTE - THIS IS NOT THE DOCU-DRAMA ABOUT THE GENESIS OF THE SHOW THAT WAS SHOWN ON THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY

As you can see, there were 3 comedy sketches during the evening. As well as 'The Pitch Of Fear, the other two were:
'The Web Of Caves' and 'The Kidnappers'

Those three, in addition to another sketch - 'The Corridor Sketch' - can be found on the DVD release of 'An Unearthly Child', which is part of the 'Doctor Who: The Beginnings' box set
