Boris Karloff might work, as would doing Universal Horrors. Expanding Toby Hooper to include TV and film would make it easier because then you could include the Masters of Horror show.
But, but, but... Hooper's only made about two decent films.

I'd struggle to do a Tobe Hooper list, off the top of my head I can think of 4 films worthy of inclusion, Salem's Lot, TCM and TCM2, Poltergeist (even though it's clearly directed by Spielberg), the rest of his films aren't very good IMO, yes that includes Lifeforce!

Is it possible to do a top 10 when you only like two of the films, ranking the other eight in terms of how 'not bad' they are? That's what I would have to do with a Michael Bay list!

I know, but it was the first day which popped in my head when I was thinking of a director who hasn't a film I actually like and own.

Doing a top 10 of Adrianne Barbeau performances/films (credited only – we don't want all of them topped by The Thing) and the same with Kurt Russell, Harvey Keitel, Christopher Lee, Bruce Willis etc. would be another option.

I'd put The Fog at #1 for Barbeau. Followed by Escape from New York and Swamp Thing...then i may struggle.

What about Top Ten films from the year you were born, should be loads of very different lists for that one
