All opinions are subjective and I'm happy for that, person A might think it's horror while person B thinks it's a fairy tale, both are right - that's what makes it more fun

Also i do really like Browning's Renfield.

But in many other ways the Spanish Dracula wins out, the Camera work and atmosphere is in many instances better and the Mina(Eva) character is more alluring and sexy in the spanish version i thought.

It's like many of these directors cut/alternate versions i feel, where a mixture of both versions would really enhance the original film.

For instance Apocalypse Now, where i felt some of the scene's should have been left in the original, but also thought the Redux version was too much and spoiled the flow and soundtrack of the original.

Also this may be sacrilege but i once made an alternate cut of 'dawn of the dead' using my favourite version of each scene from both cuts and adding all the extra dialogue from each.(On VHS though)
Still think my cut is the best.(ahem)
What i do recall about the Spanish version now, remember i've only seen it the one time, is that it's significantly longer. A good half hour or so longer if i remember rightly.

Talking of Bronson, what do you think Eli Roth's remake of Death Wish starring Bruce Willis will be like?

The trailer looks like many a Bruce Willis movie.

Its one of those films that has a sort of stigma attached to it. Bit like The Italian Job, another I've never seen or fancied. Years of them being on tv every bank holiday i feel like I've seen them even though I've only actually seen snippets of either.
