A couple of weeks ago, the topic was killer animals, excluding various types of animal, one of which is the subject this week. Thinking along the lines of those killer creatures that live entirely, or mostly in water, from fish to crocodiles and alligators to squid and octopuses and anything else that makes the water its home, this week's topic is:

Top 10 Killer Water-Dwelling Creature Features

Jaws (1975)
The Shallows (2016)
Lake Placid (1999)
Humanoids From the Deep (1980)
Dagon (2001)
Crocodile (2000)
Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature (2001)
Octaman (1971)*
Piranha 3DD (2012)
2 Headed Shark Attack (2012)

A lot of these films blend into one with me and i can't tell which is which with all the sequels. Even Adrift and Open Water i can't remember which was the good one. 2 Headed Shark Attack features not because it's a good film or a great monster. No, it features because Brooke Hogan looks fantastic in a bikini top.

I wasn't overly keen on Adrift, but watched Open Water in the cinema and it stayed with me for a long time afterwards, somehow managing to do so when I watch it at home as well.

Possibly because they were both released in 2007, Rogue and Black Water blend together as the same Australian 'killer croc' movie until I think about them and then they separate as similar but different and extremely effective horror movies. Both, and Open Water, are likely to be on my list.
